TILE TRENDS

Hello Everyone! I am Ken Rooney, a Kitchen and Bath Student at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I’ve had the pleasure of interning at Classic Kitchens & Baths since May 2016. Part of my internship requires that I take a field trip. Solana was able to set me up on a tour of our tile distributor, BEST TILE, whose showroom is located in Springfield, MA. There I was able to see many tile samples that we display and sell at our showroom in Greenfield, MA.

During my internship here at Classic Kitchens & Baths, I am exploring our vendor selections to discover new styles and finishes for future projects. The organized and abundant Best Tile showroom boasts TONS of new arrivals as soon as you enter. The team of helpful associates was more than happy to walk me through the new and most popular styles. With so many choices it can be overwhelming to decide on options, but the friendly staff makes this experience enjoyable.

One of my favorite finds during my visit was the wood grain tiles. The color, depth and true to life graining quality of these tiles is amazing. These tiles are a huge trend right now in interior design. They are easy to clean, making them a great option in high traffic areas like kitchens where spills happen often. Using these tiles for shower walls brings a warm earthy feel to the bathroom.

MARBLE…I mean who doesn’t love marble? The selection at Best Tile is amazing. There are SO many backsplash options for kitchens. These would also create an amazing feature wall behind a master bath double vanity. Herringbone pattern floors are also a beautiful and classic design for a bathroom floor.

I highly recommend visiting the Classic Kitchens & Baths showroom in Greenfield, to see some of these options and so many other tile styles in person. One of the designers will happily guide you through the selections and help you find inspiration for your next project. You can also visit www.eastcoasttile.com, or stop by the Best Tile showroom in Springfield, to see more available styles.
